Book: 5.75 in x 8.25 in
The images that cover the front and back of the book jacket were created manually by carving letters from black paper, shining a projector light through the letters, and taking pictures through the prism. The back cover specifically shows the effect of shining light through prisms onto the textured black paper. The book The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri covers themes regarding identity and reflection; therefore, I wanted to create a very reflective visual design utilizing light and mirroring for the book jacket.
